Westbound

This journey began with an upside down map, two eager lovers and a fully packed jeep. We set out, Colorado bound, at 11:00 pm on a warm Friday in August. While most sipped beverages of choice at local establishments, I forcefully downed coffee and the driver’s choice, mountain dew.

Knowing the next 20 hours would be a true test of our patience for one another, to kick off our drive my song of choice:
Will You Still Love Me Tomorrow, Amy Winehouse.

Though the greater portion of our jaunt (near 12 hours) consisted of landscape such as this,
we knew the end destination was that of beauty.
 


We arrived to Denver safe and sound. Made a few phone calls to discover Olde Town Arvada was not far off the suggested route.


Having friends sprinkled east to west throughout the United States is always a treat.
Wildly rewarding when your friends just so happen to own a winery.
